The Plum Crazy Challenger has a better reason to sit with its hood raised than with every panel open. Its inspected engine compartment contains separated components, while the carpeted trunk contributes much less.
Make the engine the focal point
The Super Stock inspection describes a high-opening supported hood and distinct reservoirs, belts and supercharger detail. These are miniature features that reward viewing from above; the full-size car’s power figure would not tell you that.
- Leave room above the hood rather than assuming the catalog’s closed height is the complete display envelope.
- A closed trunk preserves the shape without concealing the main attraction.
- The purple Super Stock is 71768; the red and dark cars in the same inspection are different Jailbreak editions.
Spring-loaded doors and fabric belts add cabin interest, but the other sampled cars’ seat colors should not be treated as specifications for this purple release.
A four-door Charger changes the cabin-access decision if rear-seat visibility matters more than a coupe silhouette.
Pros & Cons Analysis
See the source attributions and review limitations below.
Pros
- The engine is not merely a flat printed insert: the described components create depth beneath the raised hood.
- Favorable finish and fit also support a closed display when clearance is limited.
- The belt treatment supplies a finer cabin detail beyond molded seat shapes.
Cons
- Flocking does not make the otherwise plain trunk a compelling focal point.
Let the engine lead the arrangement
The Challenger earns a raised-hood display through visible component depth. Open everything only if the arrangement benefits: the sparse trunk adds less than the engine and cabin.
