Last updated: 28 October 2026. This page describes information used by Diecast Observer’s current website features.
Contact messages
The contact form asks for a name, email address, topic and message, plus permission to use that information to respond. Messages are emailed to the site’s private administrative contact; the form does not save a separate message record in WordPress. Email providers may retain delivered messages. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
To limit repeated submissions, the form temporarily stores a salted hash derived from the submitting IP address. The rate-limit record expires after two minutes. Hosting systems may separately record connection and security logs.
Saved models and comparisons
The saved-model and comparison features use your browser’s local storage to remember selected model IDs and comparison data. These selections can remain between visits. You can clear them through the site’s controls or by deleting this site’s stored data in your browser.
Hosting and external resources
Hosting and delivery services receive technical information needed to serve pages, such as your IP address and requested URL. Pages may load fonts, icons or scripts from external providers, including Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr. Your browser contacts those providers when requesting their resources.
WordPress uses cookies for administrative sign-in. No account is required to read the articles or use the browser-based saved-model features.
Merchant links
Affiliate links may send you through Awin to a merchant. Those services may use tracking technologies to attribute a purchase. Their own privacy information applies after you follow a link. See our affiliate disclosure.
Questions
Use the contact form to ask about information you have submitted or request its correction or deletion. Identify the relevant message without including passwords or payment information. This page will be updated when the site’s data-handling features change.
