The question with Prototype Heritage 72926 is not whether its accent is called blue. It is whether that blue will be visible where you put it. The exact-edition inspection found Antimatter Blue nearly black until directly lit, against the Wimbledon White body.
Two ways to be satisfied with the Heritage finish
You collect the edition
A subdued white-and-dark appearance can still be exactly the Prototype Heritage subject you want. The code and decoration matter even when the blue hue is difficult to distinguish.
You want a visibly blue accent
Ask for an ordinary-light view of the actual offered model. A brightly lit close-up may establish the hue without showing how conspicuous it will be in your cabinet.
The Lightspeed Blue seats also read dark in the inspected cabin. This makes an interior-color purchase harder to judge from exterior photographs alone. The dark-finish guide explains how to compare those views without treating a darker appearance as a paint defect.
The spoiler changes the outline; lighting cannot change the engine view
A release beneath the tail raises the spoiler with the body closed. Hollow-center lamps, mesh and white mirrors on dark supports give that exterior pose smaller details to examine. Opening the rear cover reveals the engine top, but shrouds still conceal much of the machinery. Extra illumination can distinguish blue from black; it cannot make that covered machinery visible.
There is also flocking in the small rear storage compartment and an opening frunk. Those add viewing options, but they do not turn the Heritage edition into an engine-detail upgrade.
Pros & Cons Analysis
See the source attributions and review limitations below.
Pros
- The inspection praises the paint execution while explaining its unusually dark blue. A buyer seeking subdued contrast gets a different result from someone expecting an obvious blue accent.
- A release beneath the rear lets the spoiler rise with the body still closed. This provides a meaningful alternate silhouette without requiring the doors to remain upright.
- Flocking in the small rear storage adds finish to a compartment that could otherwise be a bare recess.
Cons
- The interior is difficult to examine in ordinary light. Its blue seat color should not be the main reason to buy if the model will sit in a dim cabinet.
- Although the engine cover opens, surrounding trim leaves relatively little machinery visible. An opening count overstates the benefit for an engine-focused collection.
Buy the Heritage identity with realistic color expectations
Wimbledon White and a very dark blue accent are the supported appearance here. That is a coherent choice for collecting the Prototype Heritage edition. For a conspicuously blue display, obtain an ordinary-light view before committing; for exposed machinery, the engine shrouding remains the more decisive limit.
