Treat this as a choice between different purchases: a clean 966 GC model and a weathered 966M with supplied ground. The terrain is part of the latter’s appeal, while its weaker tipping makes it a less straightforward choice for a dumping composition.
Does the weathered package solve a problem you actually have?
- You want a complete dirty exhibit: the 966M provides a base and deliberate wear treatment. Inspect the weathered piston rods before choosing it for close hydraulic views.
- You already have the groundwork: the included base may add little. The clean GC lets the finish be judged separately from a ready-made setting.
- You need a low carry pose: neither inspected loader provides a strong answer. Buying a different finish will not resolve that movement requirement.
Both models keep an operator in place. For a parked empty-cab requirement, neither is established as a solution. The GC’s reasonable tip and the M’s weak tip are useful evidence, but actual receiver fit remains unmeasured.
The two reviews also concern different kinds of compromise: the GC’s mirror fault was an inspected sample condition, while the M’s piston weathering is part of the described finish treatment.
