These two Astons are alternatives only if your collecting brief is broad enough to allow different cars. The orange Vulcan is an unnumbered track-car subject with opening access. The Vantage is the 2018 Le Mans No. 95 GTE entry with a sealed body. Neither is a better-equipped trim of the other.
Write down the requirement you cannot trade away
“It must be the No. 95 Le Mans entry.”
81808 preserves that subject. Choosing the Vulcan would remove the race identity even though it adds access to machinery.
“I want to see a track cockpit and engine directly.”
70264 opens its doors and forward hood. The Vantage’s dark glazing and sealed panels cannot provide the same viewing route.
The Vulcan inspection describes cooling and suspension components beneath the hood, plus its sparse racing cabin. The Vantage inspection gives the exterior the stronger role: number panels, race markings, roof fittings and exhausts. Those observations explain why each can be satisfying for a different reason.
The cards below are best read after deciding which requirement is fixed. That avoids buying an accessible model of the wrong car, or the right race car in a format that frustrates your intended viewing.
