A useful truck shortlist starts with the job missing from the collection. These four choices cover different roles; this is not a speed, durability or cheapest-model ranking. Every candidate is listed at 1:50, but each needs a different viewing direction and amount of surrounding room.
| Role | Candidate | Decisive boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Container terminal | 71064 Western Star / OOCL | 40-foot mounting; plastic container |
| Concrete delivery | 71081 Kenworth mixer | Space for the chosen discharge arrangement |
| Heavy-haul rig | 71090 Western Star / XL 120 | Configuration-dependent length |
| Mobile maintenance | 85786 Kenworth T380 | Winch positioning, not loadbearing outriggers |
Use the shortlist to avoid the wrong kind of truck
A container trailer does not replace a lowboy because both carry something. A mixer does not fill the same visual role as a service body. Write the intended activity in one sentence before choosing a card below: a container at a bay, a mixer positioned for discharge, an unladen heavy-haul rig, or a support vehicle beside a machine.
For the rear-working candidates, decide where the viewer will stand. The mixer review focuses on the discharge side, while the T380 review keeps the empty hook and service area visible. For a long shelf, the OOCL combination and 49X lowboy need different contents and configuration checks.
