The same 1:50 scale does not put the CAT 938 and CAT 995 in the same shelf category. One is a compact loader with an alternate lifting-beam display; the other is a large mining subject. Decide which role the collection needs before comparing their detail.

|---|---|---|
| Approximate catalog length | 4.375 in | 15.9 in |
| Approximate width | 1.5 in | 5.4 in |
| Distinct display option | Telescopic beam in inspected package | Large mining-loader bucket and rear stair |
| Operator removal | Documented | Listing and inspection disagree |
The size figures come from the merchant and do not state the pose. They are useful for an initial paper layout, not a ready-made enclosure template. Read the 938 review for the beam and missing-chain boundary, and the 995 review for the operator and rail-material conflict.
Make the surrounding collection part of the decision
A small loader can sit alongside other site subjects without dominating the shelf. A mining loader may be the centerpiece that makes those smaller subjects look appropriately small. Neither effect is inherently better: it depends on whether you are filling a supporting role or reserving space for a centerpiece.
Do not equate the 995’s physical size with safer handling or greater miniature lifting capacity. No load rating is established for either model.
