The smaller body has more visible patterned trim
Choosing the wagon does not automatically provide more miniature detail. The blue M2 carries carbon effects on selected surfaces; the purple M3 Touring inspection finds plain gloss black instead. The wagon’s dark rear glass also limits the reward from its extra body length.
| Area | Blue M2 | Purple M3 Touring |
|---|---|---|
| Dark trim | Patterned roof and selected side parts; other areas plain | Gloss black substitutes for patterned carbon |
| Cabin | Door access supported by catalog | Black-white front cabin; rear obscured by privacy glass |
| Paint concern | No corresponding texture finding in this account | Orange peel reported on purple sample |
| Exhaust presentation | Parallel arrangement | Distinctive central diagonal layout described |
The M2 review explains why Performance Parts does not mean every option. The M3 Touring review keeps its purple-name disagreement and sample paint finding attached to that exact edition. Absence of the same reported fault on the M2 is not proof that all M2 examples have perfect paint.
