Look inside the composite Comic #1 Devil Z: rear bracing, hatch support and a decorated cabin distinguish it from a generic blue Z.

A blue Fairlady shape alone does not explain this Devil Z. Open the rear hatch and the body brace becomes part of the subject; open the doors and the sports seats and harnesses continue that purposeful treatment.

Follow the details from rear to front

  • The rear compartment contains a brace rather than being merely an empty luggage space.
  • The supported hatch lets that rear view remain exposed.
  • The engine bay provides another focal point when the hood is raised.

The Comic #1 inspection covers this composite 1:18 release alongside smaller models. The smaller Comic #4 car has different mirror, exhaust and aero details; those are not specifications for 77453.

This is the newer composite construction. An earlier metal-bodied Devil Z is a different release even when the name and blue finish look familiar.

For a collection spanning different comic associations, the comic-car shortlist separates explicit editions from restored-state subjects.

Pros & Cons Analysis

See the source attributions and review limitations below.

Pros

  • The inspected brace makes the hatch-open view relevant to the tuned character, rather than adding only empty space.
  • The struts help sustain the displayed rear view in the inspected model.
  • Harnesses, sports seats and engine components provide subjects at both ends of an open-door arrangement.

Give the rear brace a clear sightline

77453 works particularly well when the hatch and cabin can be seen together. If the model will remain closed, the comic identity and external modifications become the stronger reasons to choose it. Do not buy it expecting the weight or construction of the older diecast release.
