The year on the box does not settle the trim

Norev 182805 combines a very dark Nightmist Blue finish with earlier Mustang details. The merchant calls it 1965; the exact-edition inspection explains why the paint points to 1966 while the grille, side ornament and fuel-cap treatment retain 1965 cues.

For a birth-year or factory-specification collection, this combination needs to be acceptable before the color becomes persuasive.

For a less literal shelf, the white stripes do useful work: they articulate a body color that can appear almost black. The Pony-style interior is visible through the glazing, but the sealed body means it cannot become an open-door cabin exhibit.

The American muscle collection includes other subjects if a sealed, mixed-year Mustang does not fit the collection.

Pros & Cons Analysis

See the source attributions and review limitations below.

Pros

  • The inspection describes the paint changing toward black with viewing angle; the contrasting stripes preserve a readable Mustang profile.

Cons

  • The paint/trim combination is a meaningful obstacle to a strictly factory-correct year display.
  • Cabin interest remains behind the windows because the merchant explicitly confirms a sealed body.

Buy the color combination only if the year compromise works

This Mustang suits a color-and-shape collection more readily than a strict 1965 or 1966 reference shelf. The closed body is part of that choice: its appeal stays in the complete hardtop silhouette.
